Hello All,

What Tyres for........?

Any idea what the largest volume tyre I could run on a Spec. Roubaix would be. Needs to be quick for road, but capable of a little bit of Lakes 'Coach Road'? Suggestions welcome ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thanks.

Pretty sure a 28c will go in, I had 25c as standard and don't think they were tight at all

Spesh tyres come up pretty large too, I would imagine a 700x28 conti top touring or similar would be no problem

What model year? I have a 2009 one and 25's go in fine but there's not masses of clearance to the seat tube, 28's might squeeze in but never tried them. Newer frames might have more clearance though.
As for tyres, no clue about 'Coach Road' but if you can get away with slicks then Conti GP4Seasons would be my recommendation, if you need some tread then I think the Schwalbe Land Cruiser is popular on the 3 peaks (as it's still fastish on the road due to the continuous centre tread).
