I have a large dent in my top tube, about 4" long and the tube is quite squished. Its a 93/94 steel specialized stumpjumper.

Seriously it may well be fine. Middle of tubes aren't so stressed and the top tube is less stressed than others.

my previous frame came with a big dent, was fine for the year i used it. Just recently changed it.

Wear it with pride...it'll start to crack before it fails spectacularly wouldn't it?!
