I have a 2008 Lapierre Spicy and have recently installed a set of Raceface Deus cranks with 36/22 tooth rings and a bash.
The problem I have is when I drop from the 36 to the 22 the chain falls down the BB side of the inner chainring. I have shortened the chain to keep the tension right, I've tried a Shimano and a Raceface crank with the same configuration with the same outcome.
What am I doing wrong? I'm sure there are people running this configuration with no issues, or have addressed them some how. Can anyone help?
get a blackspire stinger ISCG 05 chain tensioner,..... sorted.
the chain fall off the chainrings at the sight of a rock or bumpy bit...
Deffo get a chain tensioner on , CRC have them in stock, or Superstar do a really cheap one.
Assuming you've set the derailleur up right, chain tensioner is the answer - The spicy is a bit of a disaster without one.
i have the 2011 one and unless less the chain tensioner and deralilleur are set up perfect it has a mine of is own
