Wants someone to go a ride with apparently.
eh?
I'll do it. I don't him but I'm sure he can teach me a thing or two.
He'll find his frame on bricks in some parts if he's not careful... ๐
It's about time someone knocked him off his perch. I'll do it. ๐
What tyres to go riding with Lance?
kl, what would dropping lance do to your silly commuting racing stats?
"Hey Glasgow - group ride starts at Ashtree House Hotel. 9 Orr Square. Paisley, Scotland. See you there at noon!!"
So who's going from the STW massive... ?
WTF is he doing in Paisley?
He's over the pond for the Tour of Ireland so perhaps he's popped over to stock up on Buckfast ?
His doping secret finally exposed!
gotta be worth it - once in a lifetime experience !
me and pistola are heading over -)
Christ, wonder how many people are gonna show up for that!
See you there at noon!!"
I've normally finished my ride by noon and I'm thinking about going out on another one. I *knew* I was better than him.
/counts bollocks.
YES!
Just take the chance for what it is guys.....your negativity brings me down! Go smile or don't bother. Easy.
Totally agree with you splatz ๐
I saw this last night......no way can I make it up to Glasgow. Gutted! Has to be a once in a lifetime thing to do.
Those of you that do go....reports/pictures etc would be good.
Matthew
well said splatz. Wonder if the Police know about it ? Celtic v Arsenal, U2 and Lance all in one day - could be a bit mental !!!!
anyone going from Embra? I'm thinking about going over on the shitty old commuter.
EDIT: On the train, WITH the commuter
bugger me, bike is in bits at the mo preping for a trip abroad. Damn!
Major Baw, just found out about this, and I'm in bloody work now!!
it is less than 15 mins ride from my office!! ****
i was thinking about it, but not sure. i'd love to, but think it'd be mobbed...
hard to know how busy it'll be - last minute thing, pishin' wet midweek day ???
here's hoping......
Would absolutely love to go but a 20 mile ride into work then a ride with Lance and a 20 mile ride home would kill me ๐
Where abouts in Paisley is the ride starting just in case I escape from the office (can't access twitter at work)- any other ride details such as route, distance, etc.
jimmy - what train are you getting? i'd be going from edinburgh...
I'm just about to leave the office in Glasgow, ride home on the commuter, change, get the road bike and head for Paisley!
Lance-schmance, its a boss-sanctioned bike ride during work time!
(I knew getting him into riding would pay off)
so where is the meeting place? i don't know paisley that well...
Raining up there? Gutted, it's a perfect warm sunny down here.
Then again, you have Lance...
dgoab - i'd be heading from Haymarket in about 30 mins. Dunno if I can be bothered. Have work to do and that. Hmmmm.... you going?
hmm i could just about make it at a push - i'm at work and would have to rush home etc to get bike. i'm not sure, i'd like too, but...
yeah me too. I'm not going, though. Too much else to do. If he wants to meet me he'll have to come to Edinburgh next time ๐
Plus, I went out training last night and my legs are tired, so wouldn't want to embarrass myself by letting him beat me.
Etc
Go for it. I would
'pishin' wet midweek day'
It's not pishing it down in the south side of Glasgow, greyish sky and a light shower about 10 minutes ago. Doubt Paisley is any different.
Can someone please le me know the ride details. Thanks.
Gary_M - I meant the forecast might be a detterant ! Dunno ride details, but meet at Ashtree Hotel in Paisley at 12 -)
has just been announced on radio clyde, cue all the bams and neds on there appollos!!
also not much chance of it being quiet now
What an appallingly snobbish attitude enduro-aid, are the working classes not allowed to attend
think about it Gary_M they have now publicly announced on the radio that there will be lots of very nice expensive bikes floating around Paisley at about noon, the local scumbags will have a field day
anyone who stops at a shop to buy juice or snacks or batterys for a camera etc will return to more than likly find they no longer have there bike
Gary_M - MemberWhat an appallingly snobbish attitude enduro-aid, are the working classes not allowed to attend
who mentioned them having jobs?
Ballcocks!
I've got 3 mins to make the 82 mile journey........
All we need is a man on a whyte 19 with knobbly tyres to come and embarrass Lance.
DAMN! I'd have gone if I'd known yesterday!! Just when I try to read STW a bit less so I can ride more too!
How long before Lance 'tweets' something about not being able to make it!
