If you were going to plan to take a young family to the Lakes for an Autumn break.. with the hope of sneaking off alone to score a couple of days of the best riding.. where would make a good base..?
Is it possible to factor in some basic centerparcs type entertainment for a non-riding wife and toddler..?

Centre Parks just outside of Penrith? You can get a day pass for the place.
