I seem to remember that you used to be able to get a discounted/free day pass for la Rosiere if you had a weeks pass for Les arcs, does anyone know if this is still the case? Their website is shockingly bad and I'm struggling to find out, it does seem to in the winter but not sure about summer.

Do you mean La Plagne?

No link to la rosiere as far as I know, I don’t even know how you’d get over but you do get La Plagne access. La rosiere and la Thuile link, or are supposed to... we rode over the top last year to not be allowed back over again despite having bought the pass with la rosiere access.

We've got the la plagne pass extension but we are going to ride la Ros and possibly la Thuile, just wasn't sure if we could get cheaper lift passes.

I've been out to Les Arcs for the last 3 years, I've never seen cheap passes for La Thuile or La Rosiere advertised and the guy whose apartment we stay in has never mentioned it. We're heading back next week and planning on riding La Thuile again so I'd be interested if it was true!

Nick Davies, we've been told you can catch the bus from Bourg up the La Ros side and then lift / ride to La Thuile. On the return you'd reverse it but ride down to Bourg. What problems did you have?

Trusty you can do that, linking like that is fine but it it’s a bit of a climb up and over from the top of La Thuile to la ros if you use the lifts. Our issue was getting back over, we got down to the la rosiere lift and they wouldn’t let us go back over despite having bought the passes that give you both resorts, it was an extra 8euro a lift or something.

To be fair, one of our lot just rode up the road and he wasn’t much behind us on the lift!

Years ago I think you could get a €5 discount for La Ros if you had a week pass for Les Arcs or Paradiski. I might not be remembering that correctly and it doesn’t seem to be the case now.

The good news is that the bike bus from Bourg up to La Ros is back on - meaning you can ride home all the way back down again 😊

Cheers all, ah well was a nice idea. I'm hoping I can still buy lift passes at the bottom of ecudets.

^ That’s 2015.

2018 says this:

“ Eté 2018, seul le télésiège de Plan du Repos sera en fonction. Un système de navettes sera mis en place entre Les Ecudets et La Rosière”

which translates as

“ Summer 2018, only the chairlift Plan du Repos will be in operation. A shuttle system will be set up between Les Ecudets and La Rosière”

I’m out here now. I’ll try and see what I can find out locally.

I'm not 100% sure what the question or problem might be (wine) but this might help:

Wallop, that is definitely a help. Even if it wine related 😊 Where's the best place to get off to drop into la thuile, la ros or the Col?

If you’re going to La Thuile, get dropped off at the Col. I think the bike route down is signposted from the top. I’ve ridden it a couple of times and it doesn’t take long.

As an aside, I’m not going to bother with La Rosiere this year. If Les Ecudets isn’t running then there is no uplift back up from the bottom of my favourite trails. 😖

Yeah we got dropped off at the bottom to find it was not running. Ah well a quick spin up to Veni, Vidi, Vicinity and then a full day out in the Malgovert made up for my disappointment.

I'm not sure 3 buses a day makes up for ecudets not running, it was slow and shonky but it was hellish useful for dream forest and 1000 switchbacks.
