Having trouble re-fitting a LEV to another bike as although the cable is long enough, the re-enforced outer wont bend enough to make it fit properly.
Anyone else using a normal gear outer, and would a cheapo shimano (or other) do?
Cheers

Not tried it but you won't have any problems. It's just a cable in an outer after all.

Mines gone to a new bike with a normal cable. No problems at all. The supplied ones are just fancy that's all, they don't work any different.

Yeah, ordinary shimano outer gear cable on mine - no problems

The original cable is made by Goodridge so it pretty easy to replace with like for like if you wish

Cheers folks, prefer a normal gear cable as the re-inforced one appears to love eating paint too!
