so no one knows anything? - google doesnt come up with much either...
Link? I can't find it on bike-discount.de

for some reason bike-discount have the manufacturer as 'Exaform' not Kind Shock
http://kssuspension.com/products/seatposts/eten-remote/
i've bought one anyway - so will give a brief review when it turns up (was sent this morning).
723g = much heavier than other KS dropper posts
Steel parts?
Only 100g or so heavier (1/4 lb), it has a 'more basic damper' apparently. Was hoping for a review somewhere, but at £90 for a hydrolic post I thought it was worth a punt.
So it turned up today - weighs in at 749 on the kitchen scales...

Instalation was easy enough (prob need to cut down the cable a little more though), the remote is a bit more natty than the standard KS one that comes with their more high end posts - but then that costs £50 as a seperate item, the entire Eten post cost me £90.

According to the instructions the eten has an open bath air/oil cartridge, so if you flip the bike upside down the post wont return. It stands to reason this is one of the things that make it cheaper.
Does anyone know if the stanchion made of aluminium or steel? Also does the eTen develop any side to side play?
Any update on this ?
Review of this on pink bike this morning http://www.pinkbike.com/news/Tested-KS-ETen-Seatpost-2013.html
Think the shaft is steel hence the extra weight.
This is a good thing IMO, Cheap droppers are where the effort needs to go IMO - a Sub £100, 100mm(+) stroke basic dropper will need to be part of many manufacturers product lines in the next few years, especially if they want to crack the OEM market...
More of the same please (I'm looking at you RS & GD)...
If you turn the bike upside down the post won't return? What about when you do a backflip and won't the saddle at full height for landing! LOL
update - i'd not bother with an eTen again, its slow to return and irratic when you first start riding - it takes a few pumps up and down to get it to return efectively and a few times when riding it didnt return to its full extension which really put me off.
Also there is no Uk warrenty or servicing on the eTen's yet so you have to return it to the shop you bought it from.
I ended up going back to my traditional post.
However If i was buying another budget dropper, id go for a Ice or Forca:

i had one of the old type specialized command posts, i had very similer issues and after a bit of research i took the post apart and added 10ml of fork oil into the post, put back together and it has been great ever since!
