Wife is after a pannier rack for her Kona Dew Delux, which i'm a bit stumped over. I never used a rack on all my years of commuting, but i understand there are some compatabilty issue with disc brakes (which the Kona has)so do i need a special rack?. The frame is on the small side, so will it effect the fit of the panner at all? Any reccomendations for a rack?
I've got a dew drop and the read disk mount is on the chainstay, not seatstay. This means that any rack will fit.
Not sure what the Dew Delux is like, but I guess it's the same.
If the disk is on the seatstay, then you can get racks that are spaced out at the point where they screw into the frame to prevent fouling the disk.
Topeak do a range of disk brake specific racks;
