Does anyone know where I can get some of the old style Kona decals, or a cheap decal printing company?
And what single speed speed ratio would you recommended for xc riding, nothing too hilly (swinley etc)?

I got my decals for an old Kona from gil of this parish. Try gil AT thecycleshed DOT co DOT uk Good service.
2:1 ratio is the usual ratio, 32/16 for instance.

I shall echo what Blachound says ... Gil for decals and 32:16 if you're not blessed with hills*
*Sometimes I become soft and run 32:17 or even 32:18 but in my defence we do have mountains.
