i have a customer looking to sell a mint condition klein attitude comp jamaica. we havnt really delt with klien over the years and its a shame to say looks like we never will now. as i said its mint the guy really looks after his bikes. any ideas on how much its worth? im thinking around £600. but there may be a massive underground retro klien movement im not aware of. any ideas???
cheers

Depends if it's pre Trek or not the big money goes on the old ones look on retro bike.

The one in the picture is too new to go for silly money (post Trek-takeover as joolsburger says), so i'd say £600 was probably overly generous.

I'd guess at about 1999/2000...

(which I think is post-takeover so worth less apparently).

You'll have more luck on retrobike...

£350 as it's post trek takeover production bike. Not really a sought bike, though others may differ.

Yep, if it's the same as the one pictured it's a Trek version. If I remember rightly the first couple of post-takeover years still had Attitudes being made in the US but they then introduced models like the Pulse and the brand reputation dipped.

This is all from memory and I'm no afficionado but after the take over I saw Kleins as nicely finished Treks with a few details that made them a bit nicer.

Certainly not going to fetch anywhere near the price of a 'proper' klein from back in the day.

+1 for Retrobike. There are more Klein afficionados on there than here, with scary levels of knowledge.

It's worth what someone will pay! They were very nicely finished bikes, even when made by Trek, which that one certainly is, but they're just not particularly sought after, not worth much more than any other bike of similar vintage in similar condition.
