[#2067875]

What's the 'refreshment' options at Kirroughtree at the mo?

Going next week, and the 7 Stanes webby says there is a cafe, but that it closes in October. Is it still open? Does it do decent bikey nosh?

I'm not expecting Hub style cakies, but a baked spud would be nice.

I was there on 2 Oct and it was still open. Its a FC type cafe with toys and other random stuff on sale but does toasties, soup and the like.

Have a good one

call the ranger on the number on the stanes site, FC Ranger on here sometimes.

\there is a roadside cafe on the way up/down does all day breakkies for £5, where we usually stop. Plenty of cafes in Newton Stewart along the road a bit.

It's a good wee cafe assuming it's open, looks a wee bit posh but they know their audience. Oddly they didn't have baked potatoes on the menu, you had to ask for them, last time I was there.

Toasties, Baked spuds and a good chocolate cake. Smashing stuff on offer. Glorious day too. Well worth a bash around the black for the nosh at the end.
