Just wondering if anyone with previous Kielder 100 experience can give a bit of singlespeed ratio advice?
I normally ride singlespeed in the lakes on 29er with a 32:20 ratio and find it is a good compromise for the climbs & rougher stuff but a bit spinny on smoother stuff. For the kielder I was looking at gearing up slightly to either a 32:19 or even 32:18 as last year I remember there being a lot of faster sections (was on gears last time).
What singlespeed ratios have you used previousy and if you rode it again would you use the same ratio again.
Anyone?
32:16 on normal sized wheels was dry when I did it fancy a ride tonight?
if only there was a way of taking more than one ratio around with you.

I suppose it could be done if you were too weak to cope with just the one gear.... ๐
