My boy is 5 and bit and beginning to enjoy riding his Islabike properly off road. He had several occasions on the weekend when the combination of relatively 'non-aggressive' pedals and muddy shoes resulted in feet slipping off pedals with the inevitable bruised shins etc.
I don't seem to be able to find a 'youth/childrens' sized pedal that finds the combination of sufficient grip for flat shoes and not being a full sized adult pedal?
Any ideas...?

They also weigh bugger all and come in a load of colours.
They're perfect for kids size 9 and up feet.
You can just see them in this photo as a size guide, it's a 16" wheeled bike btw.
