I've never been brilliant at maintenance, but I've never had a bike fail on me - still, I know I can do better.
I've just bought a new (to me) bike, and having been told my old headset has mould in it, i figured I need some guidance on what i should be doing and when.
Anyone got a guide to help me? Or can you give me some pointers?
Pook you worked as a bike mechanic and fitted my forks and brakes and only now do you tell me you've never been brill at mechanics ๐
Oh and what have you bought?
What headset you using? Could be its made of cheese. ๐
gears_suck ...Superb.. ๐
Best tip? Buy the stickiest, most waterproof grease you can find, for those hard-to-reach places like hubs and headsets.
Should last much longer.

I also heard on here that water-pump grease from a chandler is good, but not tried it.
