Are there any differences other than colour between the old "Dragon Blue" Kaffenback and the new(ish) "Sand" Kaffenback that I should be wary off?

I think the geometry changed very slightly to give a bit more clearance for the rear wheel.

5mm? I'd be very surprised if you could tell the difference in how it rides due to that small a change.

If you want to fit larger tyres, be wary of the older one.
