In terms of bike parts obviously, having been informed by some loathsome little shit the other day that my Forks (Mostly 04 Boxxers) were "Old School" it got me wondering just how old does a part have to be before the MTB Fashionista deem it "Old School"?

I'd have thought at least a Decade, but seeing as next years "Must have part" is normally in the shops by May of the preceding year, I’m starting to wonder, is kit actually now old before you even buy it?

Thoughts?

Depends on the part, but Cantis are old school, and a bit shit, or anything over about 8-10 years old. Although I'd call the old model Sids pretty old school, even though they were only replaced pretty recently, because of the design.

if it makes you laugh, remember how crap it was or waffle away about the good old days then it's old school.

IMO Judies or DHOs are old skool, possibly even Boxxer 151s

but then maybe it depends how old you are 😳
