bit late ask but welcome to MTBing and welcome to STW.
Simple question/equation- does riding it put a smile on your face? If so then it was a good purchase.

See other GT thread, they are a brand with a lot of heritage tarnished somewhat by first going bust and then being sold by halfords, which is enough to put us bike snobs off (same happened to Kona)...

Nowt wrong with an Aggressor. Enjoy it.

And welcome to STW. You'll find an intriguing mix of knowledge, opinion and codswallop.

I still have my aggressor 3 from some 6-7 years ago, great bike to start out. Within the year you'll feel the upgrade urge. Mines currently a commuter...still going strong.

But not necessarily in that order.

If you like it then it's a good bike.

I use clear self adhiesive puncture patches to protect against cable rub. I find the more rigid carbon ones don't fit too well round the curvature of the tubes. A neoprene rubber chain stay protector may be useful too.

I brought some helicoptor take off the net. I used the bike earlier as they did it a day earlier for me and its awesome its well quick goes up hills peice of urine. But 8th gear seems to be not tuned right, its clicking and making a funny noise, will halfords do it for free?
