Evening,
I have just had a looksie over my bike as it has been left alone over winter (singlespeed is for winter Very Happy )Only thing I have done is the pikey trick of turning the lever upside down and keeping it held shut to get some firmness back. Now when I pull the rear brake some brake fluid seeps out of the crack where the resevoir cap is. Could I have killed the seal in the resevoir???? I am starting to think that I should get rid of these brakes.
Cheers

Fluid absorbs moisture over time, expands, leaks. I've had a couple of sets of juicys do it, and a friends set. Seals have been fine. A bleed to replace the old fluid sorts it out.

You can ride with a bit of seepage, and probably not die.

Well, brake seepage that is.

i literaly took the cap off to take a look at the seal, saw it was very full but as a tiny bit of fluid had naturally came out just replaced the cap and seemed fine.

Thanks for the help guys ๐Ÿ™‚ Will get them bled. The front brake is way spongey so could do with bleeding anyway.
