Who are you a member of if you are?

I am looking at joining one of the two, mostly for the insurance as I commute. I have read that the CTC have a good legal team that help in the unfortunate event of an addcident.

BC for me.

Either is fine, the insurance cover is very similar and both have excellent legal teams. Just depends where you want your money to go:

CTC is more advocacy and campaign based.
BC puts the money more towards the sporting side of things, basically delivering Olympic medals.

If you ever do any racing, especially road or track then BC cos you'll need the Racing Licence.

BCF for me because of the racing license. I used their legal team about 6 years ago after a crash and they were fanstastic. Believe it's the same people for CTC too (it was Leigh, Day & Co back then).

I used to be in the CTC as I was impressed with all the campaigning they did. I enjoyed being a member and liked their magazine. I'm now a member of BC as I race, but I did prefer the CTC.

I'm a BC member (well, Scottish cycling, but same diff) as you need to be in order to get your TCL award.

Can't say I find much other value in their service, but am sure I would if I raced.
