You've got a four minute static shot of a guy stood still, talking. If he talks about the bike, cut to the bike. If he talks about the mech, cutaway to the mech. If he talks about people on the skills course show pics of them with vo continuing over the top. This will involve a tiny bit more work but be much more interesting for the viewer.

What happened to the Hans Dampf, jedi?

I've found them fantastic tyres.

I like it just the way it is and I am sure it will evolve further.

@honourable: From memory the Hans Dampf didn't stay on the bike very long, I recall he mentioned that in Blog 1 - I was thinking of trying some so I remember Tony commenting. What did you run before and what type of riding are you doing now ?

Jedi just curious about new tyre choice, you mention in blog that you are running Mountain King Protection on your Mavic rims, are they compatable with UST? Just trying to find out if I can run these with 823 UST rims, nobody is too sure.
Cheers
Richard

I ran Nobby Nics before, split one on a rocky descent (not the tyre's fault, really - the crash dented and cracked the rim too), so wanted something a little tougher. The HDs weigh a little more, but found them really grippy - my local train is a lot of slippery roots and rocks, going both up and down, and the HDs grip and traction have been excellent - not just coming down, but really noticed it going up slippery rooty stuff. They do weigh a shade more than Nics, and roll a bit slower, but been worth it for me. Running them on Crossmax SX tubeless with Stan's goo, zero problems with them fitting, burping, puncturing or anything like that. I'm not someone who's in a hurry to the top, they might not suit if that's what you're after.

I found the hans dampfs too draggy in singletrtack, great alpine tyre I reckon! The mtn kings feel amazing. Like rq's but I can't make the tyres burp let alone blow oFf the rim so far, and I try!!
