[Closed] Jagwire hooded end caps?

Just replaced the gear cables and outers on my full sus. Its a full length outer cable run for both front and rear mech so I bought a full Jagwire Ripcord set as this is what the bike came with stock.

The new set comes with these fancy gold end caps with a rubber seal at the tip. The instructions say to use these instead of regular end caps where the cable reaches the mechs, but they seem to cause a little bit of resistance when compared to the regular end caps.

Are they worth using? The previous cable run lasted 2 years including 2 winters before shifting started to choke up on the rear mech.
