.....touring on a bicycle with a thermos flask, sandwiches, sweet snacks and good friends. Even when we sheltered from a thunderstorm in a cemetery shed we still found something to laugh about.

In fact my dream holiday would be a 3 week cycle tour through Europe, not going anywhere in particular, but just riding and riding, finding all the small quiet lanes and cruising along to my own time frame.

Just for balance - I spent today with my 4 year old nephew on a "balance bike" who had never (literally) ever been out in the rain in his life. We sheltered in a thorn bush (right side of the road for the wind) and he was amazed by dragon flys, random flowers, road + tarmac construction and 50 other things just by standing at the side of the road! A couple of hours later we were in our destination cafe and proudly boasted to all old gits of his voyage! He now has 15 new friends!
In a few years he is defo on the touring route! He wants some way of carrying his toy trains on his trips!
A grand day out for all 🙂
