but i broke the Pro 2 hub on my wheel today. It's in for repair, but was wondering whether to get a tougher one for downhill bits, and doing jumps n sh*t? Seems the rear takes the most beating.

I'm not made of money so don't say buy a new pair.

My bike hasn't had matching wheels for about 5 years, one silver XT hub, one back one. Even the rims are different, 317 & 717. I don't notice when I'm riding, nor has anyone else commented on this.

If you always bust one wheel then why not ride with a stronger one when you need to?

Pro2s are commonly used on DH bikes. Just get the bits to replace the broken parts.
