Quick rip round Inner XC trail today as we've not ridden it for years. Then a couple of extra descents at the end.
Blimey someone's done some work on Green Wing. Its ace now.
Also found the new trail that seems to have replaced the old Rooty Bank trail.

First proper off road ride this year today and thoroughly enjoyed pootling along in the glorious sunlight dappled through the trees.
I think I was enjoying it too much as I completely forgot to take any photos.
Went to Cwm Rhaeadr to have a hope of escaping the crowds and found the car park full! Mostly walkers though so was lovely and quiet on the trail itself.
Forgot how awesome the view is from the bench at the top if you look away from the waterfall.

Took in some new trails I’ve been eyeing up for a bit near Dronfield on the gravel bike this afternoon. Definitely worth visiting again now I know which parts to ride and which to avoid. Dronfield air strip made an interesting diversion too.
Just a short loop for me and my boys today around Kingley Vale in the late afternoon. Chance for me to test out the Free Ranger off road. Bought it a while back but not had much chance / motivation to get out.
Tyres are still a bit hard/not got the pressures sorted yet and I've not got round to setting up the tubeless (I think I probably need to). Descending off road in the drops is a "novel" experience but good fun. 😂
Some lovely photos on here and always like to see Sandwich posting up stuff from the area I grew up in.
Today's ride could be interesting, my garden has a covering of light snow and a heavy frost. Certainly won't be sitting in the sun like I was yesterday!

View towards Glenshee
I hauled my old Rock Lobster out and pinned a race number on for the first time in about 16 years, amazingly I ended up being out sprinted for 60th place by a guy on a Kona Explosif that was even older!

Got out in Northumberland on Friday for the first proper ride on the big bike since lockdown.
How does one link an image to instagram?
My god it's a cold wind out there today! Thankfully the bright sun had removed the worst of the frost but it was still a bit crispy on top in places. 15 fresh and windy miles around farm tracks and railway lines this morning with blue skies for company. Didn't see another rider but plenty out walking.
@joe-m if on Android tap on the image you want to share, three dots in top right of screen tap on that and select copy then just tap on stw comment page and paste. Works on my Moto that way.
Bridleway as far as the eye can see
Hidden treasure only passable at certain times of the year
One great thing to come out of the 'stay local' dictate is it has encouraged more exploration of our back yard here in East Ayrshire - it's astounded us at times. One of this weekends little jaunts into the hills...

Just a pootle up the Lickeys today with the small window of time i had free. All into the wind there 🙈

I give up.
Lovely Easter Sunday ride with MrsReady.

Some more top rides today.
After my two riding days (115km and 1700m climbtotal) and a Munro walk yesterday, mrs_oab and I decided a nice easy wander was in order. We just wandered around the Woodland Trust woodland at Finglas with a flask and some cake in the cold. Lovely.
John Ruskin falls
(Edit: not visible is frozen ground and sub zero windchill)

Another weekend of great pics and riding folks. it's really good to see the parts of the country that normally we might have visited but haven't seen for such a long time, and so many rides exploring stuff on our own doorsteps we might not have visited if the country was open for business.
The Sanny column that ran about local rides rings true with all these pics and stories that have formed the weekly threads.
Looking forward to next weekend. Actually I'm on holiday so hopefully I'll be out everyday!
The last of three rides over the weekend.
A short hack around the Rossendale valley and back home for a rather nice “ruby murray” and a tidy drop of Malbec.
The Camino is still the push iron of choice with some nice gravel sections around the edge of Lee Quarry and Lancashire Sock.
Happy Trails folks.

Worked silly hours over Friday/Sat/Sun but managed half a day today to get a quick loop in. Cold but conditions were great

Cheers, it’s my newish “mint” Sonder Camino, with pictures taken at either end of the Rossendale valley.
Anything that gets us off the sofa is a good thing.
I have found my mojo again and am loving getting out.

Cheers.
It’s Cwm Carn Scenic Drive. The whole road (12km) has been resurfaced following the tree felling up there but isn’t yet open to vehicles. It’s great to ride around - no pot holes, no, rough patches and, best of all, no traffic. It’s like having your own private road. 🙂
Conditions were a bit brutal this afternoon

Rocketdog.
Just watched your video.
He sent you up dirt alley.😲
Things have been seen up there that can never be unseen.
Great pics all - looks like some proper fun was had over the weekend.
Loved the vid @rOcKeTdOg - and fantastic [edit: oops, sorry, posted a spoiler]. Yes, nothing like a bit of dry singletrack. 😃
😀

I'm a bit late to the party as it's now Tuesday, but these are from a cold afternoon on the Long Mynd yesterday. Looped right down to the southern end from Church Stretton, then climbed up from Plowden to the summit, with views westwards as far as Cader Idris and The Arans, then back down the sweeping fast grassy descent to Plush Hill & Inwood. Lovely to be able to get out again; bring it on some more

@thelawman I’m a bit late to the party as it’s now Tuesday,
pffft, there is a fortnight ahead for some of us.
Keep the (lovely) pictures coming.
