Should paper copies of issue 159 arrived yet? I resubscribed last month and whilst I can download a copy, it's nice to be able to put the phone down for while.
Mine dropped through the letterbox 10 mins ago.
yep mine came today, glad to have some STW content that does not rely on the internet... :-/
Cheers. Mine is probably on the way as well then.
Not started the last one yet!
Tis a good issue imoÂ
Some cracking reads this month. Really enjoying it!
Yes. There's some lovely work in it. Very cranked and I really don't think that's a bad thing at all.Â
Yes I miss Cranked, shame to see it go.
Nice piece on the handcycle adventure, made me think.
Main difference with Cranked is the paper quality and the photo reproduction. I, unfortunately find Singletrack somewhat lacking in those areas since re-subscribing. Smells lovely though.

It's probably following the format of the new forum - pages will arrive at random over the next week or so! 😀

Funny you say that! I tend to leave mine to 'air' for a day or so, as I'm not too keen on the smell!

I love the smell of the mag. It's one of lives simple pleasures is the small of the print and a good beer.Â
You think it looks the same?
From memory, Cranked was printed on silk or coated paper, whereas Singletrack is currently printed on uncoated stock which has an inherently different look when it comes to what’s printed on it. Coated papers usually look punchier and bolder than uncoated papers, unless you pay an absolute fortune for something fancy from GF Smith.
Therefore, it’s going to be impossible for a magazine to look the same as Cranked if it doesn’t use the same paper.
btw, Not suggesting one is better than the other though - plenty of mags/periodicals use uncoated stock (Sidetracked, Longboard) and look great while plenty use coated stock and also look great.Â

Indeed. I wondered why the comment had any relevance to what I said previous to it
