Hi,

Does any of the collective have a bridal way/green lane route on the Isle of Wight? Was talking to some guys with crossers said there was tons of riding!

Ideally would like a 50 mile odd loop to make it worth while going over from the mainland.

So is there?

Cheers.

Stayed in Freshwater for a week about a year ago.
Lots of riding to the east of there up through the golf course and into the AONB.
Was on the MTB but you would have no issues on the crosser.
All tracks well signposted and on the OS map.
Not so sure about the other areas though....

Yep, take a map and follow your nose and the excellent signage. Lots of lovely, (now sadly) old-fashioned, bridleway and green lane XC type stuff.

Lots of the bridal ways on the Island are a little bit too close to each other....

They're all here in beautiful technicolour: https://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/shop/maps/explorer-map-isle-of-wight.html

West and south Wight have bigger hills and better access. You can bring a bike across on all the ferries (and hovercraft) bar the Redjet to Cowes from Southampton.

Lots of the bridal ways on the Island are a little bit too close to each other....

Especially those round Wroxall.
