I had made up my mind to go for the Rothan, but I know my boy would rather have a piece of junk in blue, than the market leader in red or pink. Doesn't make sense to me, these things are important to a two year old!

this is singletrack! Buy the red one, strip it down, get it powder coated, make custom decals, debate over wether bearing surfaces need to be faced or not, re build it and present it to an indifferent child. For extra kudos I'd suggest Ti axels and Thomson seat post.

If the Rothans important to you and the colour important to him

Then buy Rothan, strip and key frame, paint with spray can from your local motor factors, it'll take a couple of hours and cost a £5-10.

They're not actually marketed for the kids, they're designed to appeal to you.

Must admit I like the look of the silver/grey one, but it's not for me. Really don't understand why there is no blue option, looks like he's getting a zooom.
