Planning on riding these routes over the next 2 days, any idea of the conditions up there at the moment ?. Coming up on the sleeper train tonight so hoping they'll be rideable tomorrow.

Temperatures are on the way up after a cold few days so it will be increasingly soft and boggy. I hope you have waterproof socks.

As above - depending on change in temperatures could be pretty rapid changes in water levels with snow melt. Not close enough to give an accurate prediction though.

Right, thanks, so it'll be wet which is kind of a given really. I suppose the real question is, will they be passable ? will we have to wade above say knee height ? whats the best pub in Blair Athol with real beer to warm up with ๐Ÿ™‚

practice your wading technique.

been cold / frosty last few days, now up near 10oC, squally and wet.

Couple of crossings on the Gaick IIRC (one bridge away at south end, and an outflow crossing at the north end). Should have less trouble on Glen Tilt itself - are you going there and back for both? or venturing into Glen Feshie, that would be more, ah, interesting.

Well, currently thinking doing Gaick paas to stay at Blair, then Glen Tilt to stay at Breamer then back to the Railway/A9 for the train home which I guess could be via Tromie & Feshie !

At this time of year (and tbh any time) I'd select my route/area based upon the weather, no point been soaked in Scotland if its sunny/icy in Wales.
