But being able to answer "thirty" when people ask how many gears you've got must be freaking AWESOME! Just think of the collection of "Ooooh really? Well in my day, of course, it was all about having three gears AND you had to bring a horse along to help you change up to highest, yes siree sonny jim" responses you could collect!!

boxelder, just thinking 30 46 may give me more options off road and i cant get a 30 ring for the comapact, could get a 46 for a tripple and run it on the middle, think the crap weather has given me to much time to muse
