Currently have a Hope 25 degree riser stem at 70mm long. The height is fine but the bars are too close for me - need to push 'em 30mm further away. So then, is there a stem at 100mm long with 25 degree rise? Seen a few cheapos but doubt their strength / suitability at prices seen. Going on a Blue Pig so hard'ish use.
Oh yeah - I'm alredy using high rise bars so can't gain anything there.

Cheers all!

I think I have a cheapy from Halfords that does that heavy, but in one piece

I think cheap just means heavy not weak or with money to burn......

Treat your self to a longer steerer on some new forks?

The new fork thing had crossed my mind but I gave myself a good talking to. So cheap = heavy, rather than weak? If so, good news!

Actaully this might do

http://www.bikester.co.uk/bicycle-parts/stems-steerers/mtb-racing-stems/227634.html?_cid=1_3_2_2111_2149_2316_227634_&c=18

As a longer stem will have alot more rise at the same angle

http://www.brightspoke.com/t/bike-stem-calculator.html

It shows the new stem puts the bars up 10mm

A 6 degree stem only drops the bars 5mm

I never stop being amzed at how confusing comparing stems is.

A 5 mm drop could be made up with 5mm less sag.....
