My wife's bike a Dolce 2009 isn't very girly. Not that pretty flowers on it would improve matters any. Were looking at a white powercoat replacement but have hit a snag.
The Powder coater too one look at the intergrated headset inner race and said NO. two bike shops locally refused to even try to get them out as they sit quite far inside the head tube.
Power coater said he couldn't get the remnants of the grease out well enough not to risk spoiling our or anyone else's finish.
Give me a clue, doe the races get knocked out like [u]normal [/u] headsets? These sit really quite far into the headtube but not up against any sort of stop. So refitting is more a case of guess the fit.
Any suggestions from the massed intelegence of STW?

Sounds like it has the Spesh mind set headset.
The bearing is sat inside a cup that is pressed into the frame and it should knock out.
Find a Spesh dealer or post a pic on here.
Specalized dealers locally are worse than useless, Leeds and Bradford. Might have to drive it off to Harrogate.
