[#2622946]

After much messing and timewasting with Specialized shops plus help from here I have decided that it is likely that I have an integrated HS in my Tricross. ( Well a wierd Spec hybrid thingy that can be replaced by an integrated.) Anyway do integrated bearing need to be seated like a normal HS cup, persuaded gently or just dropped in? I have spare bearing out of another normal HS with the same part number as the Cane Creek one that should fit. It isn't tight though. No damage anywhere just a minute amount of slack. i have been told that the bearing will just drop in. Is this true?
Tempted to build a hybrid if this is the case.

An integrated bearing should set nicely in to the headtube. It will move slightly but should be fairly tight etc. As long as it's lined up correctly it should slip in easily.

If it's moving around alot in the headtube then there's a problem....

Reckon there might be less than a mil slack in total. How do they stay tight if they move slightly?
