Happy (delighted) as I am with the curent singlespeed, it is still a vertical dropout frame at the end of the day, and I'm a bit fed up with fannying around with the chain tension as I don't like using a tensioner, so I think the time has come to source a sliding / horizontal dropout frame.
The On-One website suggests that the Scandal has the same geometry as the Inbred and as I'd like something a little less twitchy than my Rock Lobster (71 deg head angle) both On-Ones are 70 degrees - do you think I'll notice a difference? I'd be putting some 100mm Rebas on there. I like the idea of the frames taking big tyres, but what's the On-One chain tug like? Does it work?
Is the Scandal a lot lighter and has anyone ridden both?
Is there anything else around this price that I'm forgetting to consider? I haven't seen the Genesis as frame only. I don't think I can bung £470 at a Simple at the moment either, and I don't want a DMR type jump / park bike.
Show me yours if it'll help!
