No! That's a nice tasteful build, none of that nonsense!

Front QR lever wants setting 180 degrees the other way so it can't undo by snagging on something whilst riding, rear could be better too

Saddle wants to be flat (for XC riding presumably?)

Stem looks a bit short and uppity (making the bars higher than the saddle at pedalling height and generally reducing breathing space)

Conti Verticals are only available in wire aren't they, seem a bit cheap/heavy/etc when the bike has XT cranks and fox forks (though not quite fox/xt level frame all things considered either)

Otherwise, all very nice, I'd quite like an inbred

Just got back from my second ride on it takisawa2, bloody excellent!
Really zips around bends and stuff, also very easy to get off the ground 🙂
Seems a lot less twitchy than my rockhopper, which gave me a lot more confidence to really give it some on the descents etc.
Climbs ok, but not much worse than my hopper.

Good choice. Looks a bit like mine 😀 :

[IMG] [/IMG]

Is that an On One seat QR? Mine lasted about 3 months before the plastic bush disintegrated. On One have now changed the description as at the time it as described as brass.....

I bought a 30.0 Hope one (gold obviouly) & it's loads better. I also got some NC-17 lock-on grips from CRC that are brown with gold clamps and look quite good.

Have fun on it!!

stumpy, I've just got the standard allen bolt seatpost clamp at the moment.
I'll probably get the hope qr one when I've got money available!
Which diameter size should I be looking for btw?

I got the Hope 30.0 diameter one. You really want 29.8mm, but it's not that common and 30.0 works just fine.
Only difference I have noticed is that when the clamp is released, the QR does swivel more easily on the frame, but it's not really an issue.
Not had the Hope one long but it very smooth, seems secure & has a decent quality brass bush.
I got mine from Noah's Ark for £17 and they delivered it really quick. I definitely recommend them.
