or maybe even high pressures, whats best?area near me is very sandy in places but average in others.what best for most grip?
Very sandy and best grip, you want a mud tyre... drawback is more grip and sand means even more drag.
wide tyres and low pressure. bike floats a bit more over the sand that way.

but a wide rim like a 47mm trials rim with conti 2.5 diesel`s about 15-18 psi are not bad,check you have the tyre clearance first!
