Probably unrelated but had the Jeffsy clamped by the BX's 150mm stanchion whilst reassembling it after the bikes been laid up for a while.

Anyway....

Noticed that the rise is a bit slower than usual.... and it needs a small tug to get it to rise the last inch or so.

Apart from it being a superb analogy of my sex drive these days is it due to:

1 Being clamped too tight in the frame? Doubt it as it's in a carbon frame with assembly paste...so pretty low torque. Will check later though.

2 Borked due to clamping bike by the BX's stanchion? Possible I guess but I suspect not. No high torque stuff done on the bike whilst clamped so.

3 Don't the BX posts have an air valve buried under the saddle mount? If so, what's the recommended pressure guys? Dropper not been used since late last Summer. Perhaps a little pressure has escaped?

Should add that I've had 3 BX droppers (on different bikes) and I still reckon they are great. This being the first ever problem I've had with one.👍

Got 270 psi in mine still rises slow compared to the Command post but the extra drop has been worth it out in the Alps

Shock pump fits onto it. A bit of a fiddle having to remove seat. Not had to top up since fitted.

Yep, check pressure, mine was doing exactly the same thing, rising very slowly, and I couldn't get it up all the way. Also, my dropper post was having issues.

Turned out the pressure was about 100psi less than it should have been. Pumped it up and it was up like a rocket.

Wanted to say thanks guys!

Dropper had about 90psi. Upped it to about 270 and all is well. As long as it holds pressure all is good.👍

Glad it worked. First time today my 170mm has come into its own over the 125mm I had. 25km downhill and 4500m vertical descent and not been smacked with the seat at all.

I've been eyeing up the 170 but I don't need it.Lol

It would fit nice and neatly in the Jeffsy though....
