So, I may have had a small run in with a bus driver on the way home tonight. This resulted in the bus driver driving at me and me slapping the window to ward him off.

The window kinda broke. Should I fess up to the bus company and pay for the window or let it go?

He did start it... ๐Ÿ™

Despite being a bit disappointed this thread was not relating to ladyboys or livestock, I'd probably let it go and spend the next couple of weeks doing a different route home, and change my name to ironfist. I'd also be worried about the ensuing comments about giving cyclists a bad name ๐Ÿ˜‰

hmmm it will definitely make him more aware of cyclists! Ive got the same problem on the way to work i get quite a few cars getting really close to me. two work at my work and had a word with them, very apologetic and really didn't know how close they were getting.

I guess they could look on the CCTV on the bus and see if they can see anything or the same bus driver will see you tomorrow, wearing the same clothes etc. i wouldn't worry to much. too much hassle to report it etc he probably said it was kids wouldn't want the manager knowing he was trying to drive a cyclist off the road!

You can ward off a bus driving towards you with a slap of the hand?

Forget about it unless you see yourself on crimewatch and attend anger management classes...

Dear dmiller,
You must have one hell of a temper if you can slap a bus window broken.

Now, I don't know the whole story, and I'm sure you were in the right, but...

Please remember, that as a cyclist you sit on our collective faces!
I'm thinking maybe now we have a bus driver who's even more determined to do a cyclist harm than before.

See what I mean?

Glad You're OK BTW.
