Yeah its outragous! I paid 39p to get an envelope posted from here in Plymouth at 5:30pm to a customer 500 miles away in Scotland and they only damn well went and delivered it at 8:30 the next morning! Rip Off!! 🙂

Try delivering it yourself and see how much it costs?

Other couriers are available.

Yeah the thieving sods took £2.20 off me to send a birthday present to my friend's newborn. Such awful service. I posted it at 3.00pm, and it was there at 7.30am the next day. 'First class' my arse.

Royal Mail may well **** up in a small number of cases, but the amount of post they shuffle about daily is incredible.

Uniform standards have slipped though.

They're hard to beat for smaller stuff. Bigger stuff tends to go parcel2go i.e. Wheels, forks etc.

Because they've decide my house is a business they won't bring me post on a Saturday. Do businesses not work on a Saturday?

Because they're lazy ****ers, at my last house they would often post 'We tried to deliver....' cards through the letter box with the following days post, when I'd been in all day the day before. On one occasion I spent the entire day outside the front door working on my car.

Their pricing system is fairly impenetrable and increasingly random when it comes to posting parcels.

In their defence, the PayPal/Ebay postage system they have setup works really well and they will collect rater than me having to take stuff to them.
