......... who'd win it?

Would it be a climber type person, or a ride fast on the flat type person?

just out of interest like

I think Thor Husho / Hushoff / Herschoff .......... off boogerit that big Norwegian bloke meself........

And what are the different types of rider anyway?

Sprinters, climbers, TT'ers, but also heard talk of "puncheurs" - what's one of them then?

It would be a Time trail.

Hard to expect 150 riders setting off at once to not follow another.

A 3500km ITT would make the club evening 10 look even more tame.....

allrounders = rouleurs.

The winner definitely wouldn't be a climber.

And it wouldn't be a road race or the TdF any more.

Voeckler. He spends most of the first week trying to get away on his own anyhow.

dont know? cadel evans or Bertie would be my punt. It would be a good all rounder - can climb but also do a reasonable/exceptional TT - cav would not get many stage wins. It would be impossible to do as you can draft someone faster than you yet they cannot drop you

While pro 'strong men' like thor or cancellara would be fine for the first two weeks, ultimately it'd be ultra endurance specialists (like the guys that do RAAM solo) you've never heard of that'd win it.

elfinsafety - LMAO!

yes - agree it would be boring.

must admit I initially thought it would be a climber but seeing how much time they can lose in a TT i agree it wouldn't be one of them

wouldn't Wiggins have a decent chance?

That'll be the Tour Divide then, oh no it can't be the TD's 4500km 😉

Thor? A sprinter? a guy that relies on drafting. Riding 3500km on his own and winning.. Pfft!

You missed le tour the past two years then? Ex sprinter, albeit one that has found a new trick, unlike le jet.

Thor? A sprinter?

Think he's proved there's a bit more to him than that.

why he has been near the GQ and he has Time Trial and climbing ability.

Only one person, King Fabo of course. NO ONE ELSE.

See below for details, rides Boonen and Flecha of his wheel, Boonen is know for having a good sprint and he still cannot get on Spartacus's wheel when he opens the "pain cave". Flecha is no weed either !!

He's done this many times to PRO riders, they must hate him, RIDIK !

Moving away from the stupidity of this thread to a real discussion of wiggo:

Lots of brits lose sight of the fact that there are loads of other folks with better pedigree than him. But that's sport for you.

As yet Wiggo is still all potential and no real substance on the road.

I say that as someone who wants him to succeed.

KKF

check this you bell.

stannard - nails - hurt locker. One of the hardest 1 day races last year

you could learn from this instead of mincing round local MTB races shouting at people thinking your Hans Rey

Critérium du Dauphiné winner this year as well]
this would be a solo ride and he is quite good at solo riding and the mountains so it is hardly a daft shout - yes in a full normal TdF expecting Wiggo to win would be daft but this is solo so i think he would GQ in this sort of race and therefore he is not a bad shout.

I say that as someone who wants him to succeed.

we can tell you are encouraging him with every word you post 😉

thought nothing of towing the lead group for an hour up a mountain when chasing schlek and looked for help from no-one.. World champ, one day classics winner , consistent grand tour contender, good TTist.....and hard as foook

Check his Strade Bianche stage at last years giro !!

OK Spin, Cant converse with you any more as you used the word "stoked"

Only exceptable if your a steam engine driver or just won the Redbull Rampage.

Margin Walker you helmet, I would defoshow you a clean pair of heels on a MTB, road bike, TT bike or cross bike. Choose your weapon and pick a venue.

2 its all going to end in a sexually charged pillow fight...

Bernard Hinault?

Well if we're going to go retro, then it would be Merckx.
Since he won just about everything that existed, from the hour record to the TdF.
