Right, now I'm off to search for rides by random people to give kudos to in order to worry them...

You see that opens up another can of worms. I'm 10th on this segment and yet doesn't look like your time was registered?

I noticed that! I'm guessing that I stopped a few yards short of the end or something. Neither TJ's nor Maryka's times from this year seem to have registered on that one.

This was the one I looked at, which puts you slower than me by 2 seconds, albeit on the right day. Maybe it thought you'd started it whilst you were being held or something. The second one has 50 more people on it too, which makes no sense, they're basically the same!

Do, I'm fine with that! Attention whore that I am! Chris did tell me that he was going to do it because it was easier than kudosing when I did get an achievement (as I mercilessly chased every KOM on the commute!), and he's kept to it!

Rotters! The ToB did chunks of mine this year, but in a different direction luckily!

I have to admit to doing hill repeats on a very steep hill in the Chilterns - ostensibly for the training. Strangely I moved to a different place when I just happened to get a KOM on it.

Oh dear. The first thing I did after my commute this evening? Checked my Strava results.

nah i couldn't, its great,

no one registers and doesn't think hmmm i wonder how fast i am compared to x, for the first couple of months you kind of care about KOM's - after a while though, you don't care, the social side, the inspiration from seeing others rides, if so and so is going out when its shit weather, those 4:30am alarms to commute in, tracking progress, etc etc

its so much more than little gold badges

The global heatmap shows a trail leading up my drive to my garage, despite me and my riding buddies setting a privacy zone around my (& their) postcodes.

After I had my bikes stolen, I took myself off Strava. Probably a coincidence, but I was disappointed to see this information in a public place.

No. I've been checking periodically for the last two months, but just after I typed the above, I checked again, and the trail has now gone. Perhaps they only update it every couple of months. (Since my bikes went, we no longer ride to people's houses)

Date? No time for that kind of thing Klunk. Too busy riding or on STW. It's a little sad that this place has become some kind of relationship substitute.

I just checked the heat map and it goes nowhere near my house, doesn't even seem to register my riding outside my privacy zone, or the points where I generally stop the ride recording.

I always have started my ride recording away from the house, so perhaps it was a trace from the people I was riding with.

Anyhoo, it's gone now. Chances are someone saw us all meeting at my house one evening anyway, and that's how the bikes went. Lesson learnt. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ
