[#6624664]

My wheels are about done in, and i have absolutely no intention of changing my forks out at the moment. 26" pikes.

Usually in the front i have something quite chunky, either Magic Mary or Chunky Monkey.

If i got some 27.5 wheels, Stans Flows probably what are the chances of having enough clearance??

If there is any doubt ill stick with old school 26" but i am curious about this ATM

cheers

No real help as I've got a 27.5'' Pike with Flows but there isn't much clearance with a 2.35'' Nobby Nic. I would be very surprised if it would fit in a 26''.

Ok cool, thanks. I thought it would be a bit tight.

Chances of clearance are about zero. Have a look at the clearance under the fork bridge as it is, if the wheel was 1/2" (12mm) higher, would there be enough space? I'm running the opposite set-up, 26" wheels with Muddy Marys in 27.5 Pikes and even that only looks a fraction generous, there's no way 27.5" wheels will go in the 26" fork with decent tyres on.

If you put an elastic band tyre on it then it'll probably go but not with anything suitable for mountain biking

I've got a WTB Vigilante 27.5 X 2.3 on the front in 650b Pikes, and it is definitely not swimming in clearance. I'd be surprised if it fitted at all into a 26" set.

Ok, all info much appreciated. Original plan has been set in motion. Old school 26" is the future ๐Ÿ™‚
