This caused my second fall of the day...
the first was going uphill, on road, when my chain slipped on the very worn cassette and pitched me forward and over the bars. Feeling sore today..!

not a big thorn... something just felt funny, then the tyre had come off one side of the rim and the tube was wrapping itself around the hub!
Quite glad it didn't happen on the really fast road bit 500m or so up the hill.

Indeed, tie the two ends and stuff the gap with grass, done it twice now lol.
