Up at 6.30. Get in shed , pull mud tyres off put on new summer tyres.

Inflate straight away with valve in using a track pump.

Back indoors by 7 , breakfast and riding at 7.30.

I've suffered and done my time before.

I've earnt today's victory.

Next ride. . .

Massive slash in current tyre, new tyre won’t go on, seat or seal.

good luck.

So you're the bugger who got all the tyre luck. Took me 45 mins of wrestling with my rear tyre last night before my ride and that was with a bloomin tube in

Half an hour?

Did you have a 20 minutes snooze?

Changed eldest_OAB's rear tyre last night - can we get it to stay up? nooooo. leaking all around the bead on one side - despite a removal, clean, rub down and more....

Currently taking a break from sweaty pumping (oo-er) trying to get an XR3 on an Arc27 rim bead

Think I'll give up and start on the front wheel.
Uh-oh

My front was an XR3.

Feeling extra super smug.

It's because you've already appeased the vengeful gods of leaky holes by sacrificing your shoes and your shorts.

Set up new wheels and tyres ‘dry’ for Mrs D_J last night, then 20 mins this morning to deflate, pop the bead, pour in sealant, reseat tyre, inflate and swirl.

Soapy water is usually my friend if a tyre is proving unwilling to seat properly.

Well, like with many things, turns out I was trying to force it and a liberal application of lubrication (washing up liquid) slipped them nicely. Both wheels now holding pressure OK.
Sealant next. After I bleed two sets of brakes....

Get some values with removable heads.

My values are just fine thank you 😊

i’ve set them up with removable cores, but don’t normally bother with the syringe full of gunk method - I know some people manage to spray sealant everywhere when they pour it into the tyre, but a little care and it’s possible to do it with no mess.

Sure.  It's even quicker removing the cores though, and you don't have to reseat.

Aye, I built a tank out of an old fire extinguisher.

Also recently got a Joe Blow Mountain pump - very high volume.
Didn't get these tyres up by itself, but made pumping up the extinguisher easier!
