I know a few people who've used, and have had great results with, Hykix carbon setposts on road bikes... has anyone here used one on an xc setup? An xc setup that occasionally gets a bit out of its depth in the rough stuff would be ideal!

Same as trail rat, had some of their forks on the groadval bike for years, no complaints.

I had forks and seatpost on my Soda, both were fine though to be fair I never really trusted the forks, they were just too light (and also stiff) for me to really trust, even if they never did anything wrong at all. I did have an older hylix seatpost on my commuter and cracked it, right at the top but it was a very civilised break, just made a big crack noise and got a bit soft, then as I rode on got worse but got me home. Annoying but not dangerous or anything.
