For a glorified plastic bag with a bit of hose ! My Camelback 3L seems to have given up the ghost decided to look at Evoc or Osprey instead , 😳😳😳😳think it might just be the seal on the filler cap as there's no obvious leak , seeing the price I'll be doing a lot more investigating .
I see Decathlon do a bladder for £15 anybody use one of them ? Doesn't look like you can get a replacement filler cap , are Evoc or Osprey worth paying extra?
Camelbak supposedly has a lifetime warranty. I’ve not found it easy to use in the UK “take it back to the ship you bought it from with the receipt”.

I had the Decathlon one. Lasted a few years of daily use before it got too manky. Now have a Zefal one (widely available for not much). It's fine, but the sliding seal thing now needs a bit of lubrication 🤔

The cheap green camo ones from Amazon were fine for me..my expensive 5.11 tactical bladder pack didn't come with one (weird) so I picked up a cheap one from Amazon and it's been perfect. Good and cheap enough that when it smells / leaks I will just buy a new one.
The 2l zefal one for 15quid from Merlin is ok. Mouthpiece not as nice as the dakine or camelback ones but you can probably just swap your old one over. Feels fairly robust so hopefully should last.
I got a cheap Eurohike hydration backpack for less even than a Eurohike bladder. But the bladder fits the Camelback and I've got a free rucksack.

Get the cheapest (within reason) one you can find, and swap over the bite valve from the original if the new one is a bit rubbish
Also, to stop the bladder going all manky, don't fill it with anything other than water.

My Osprey bladder died couple of weeks ago and I ordered a 3l Decathlon one. Seems to do everything the Osprey one did - hold water, release water on demand, fit in backpack. Much cheaper, would recommend.
The osprey ones with the hard back are fantastic. Just not for that ridiculous price compared to a normal one. I bought a cheapo running vest (£17) that came with a 1.5l bladder. Wee bit of fiddling to make it fit properly and I was very impressed. I honestly used to believe the more expensive the betterer something was. 🙂 what a tube I was

(MrsVlad has an very old Osprey backpack with external mesh pockets which over time ripped (probably from snagging on brambles). She called Osprey up hoping she could send it in for repair but they just sent her a new backpack instead!) 👍
picked up a coupleof aldi ones for a fiver each earlier this year
seem as good as anything else and teh lids look exactly like my old camelbak one

I like the Osprey ones, good valves, the magnetic gizmo works well and they're really mould resistant ime. They also have a great warranty. I had a 2L one that came with my Raptor riding pack and, at about eight years old with huge amounts of use and hammer, it sprang a small leak from where the tube outlet thing was welded on. I used their online claim form, description and image, and they sent me a brand new, current model, reservoir a few days later. Stellar customer service.
Sport Pursuit sometimes has them at half price as well - just the lumbar versions atm. I'm not sure I'd pay full retail for one, but they are good. Made by HydraPak for Osprey, the Hydrapak own brand stuff is also very good ime, they also make for Salomon and Patagonia apparently, Evoc too according to google. I'd take all those over Camelbak which always feel flimsy to me. Never tried the Decathlon ones, if they're anti-bacterial and have a decent bite valve, I suspect they'd be fine.
@vlad_the_invader - I have used their warranty for bags before - really good experience with parts being sent out or free repairs.
Not sure warranty will cover bladder being put somewhere 'safe' for me at home and then catching on the veg rack when I tried to retrieve it, putting a hole in it I'm afraid.
The mystery continues, filled my Camelbak bladder up , tipped upside no leaks , left it hung up for an hour no leaks , yet yesterday I ended up with a wet jersey and shorts ? 🤔🤔🤔
Was the mouthpiece up against anything while riding? Not got it locked off? Have sometimes had this myself if I forgot about it. Dont seem to notice if its a slow drip until its way too late.

Did you hang it up both ways to find out if it leaked top/bottom? Try wrapping full bladder in kitchen roll as that should show any leaks.
But it wouldn't be upside down when you're riding?
Is there something sharp hiding in your bag?
I think I may have found the answer , filled bladder left it lying down with filler cap underneath,there seems a gradual leak where maybe the filler cap seal has worn over time ? Camelbak don't appear to sell them separately so I've E Mailed them to see if they can send me one .
Osprey's hydrapack have a lifetime warranty too, and they are very quick to reply and send out free parts, have used them for a number of years. Was startled by the price when I thought I had to replace mine earlier this year though, turned out I could just replace a O-ring. Must keep an eye out for them on sale, and no they don't taste plasticky or go mouldy like the cheap ones, but you pays your money and you takes your choice
@z1ppy yeah I might have to bite the bullet , Camelbak want me to provide proof of purchase, good luck with that , told them I don't have room to keep every receipt for everything I buy
