At places like Afan where there tends to be one v big climb and one v big descent I used to obsessively let my tyres down before the descent and hence once considered an idea like this. Then I learned to push much harder on the descents and then I found more grip and confidence than ever before and now am happy with one pressure, about 30 ish.

Why doesn't the tube/air line thing get wrapped up around the axle as you ride 😕

Its in the hub isn't it, the air goes in through the axle.

Great idea for a fatbike! (probably need a bigger reservoir?)

Whe I rode one, I wanted a lovely cushy magic carpet ride at low speeds, but also to be able to hammer the descents without dinging the rims. Played around a bit, and got it wrong (sorry, uranium cycles!)

Aside from the gimmick, that's a pretty nice looking bike - what is it?

They really should have featured a fatbike in that shot, where a CTIS might actually just about make some kind of sense.

It does, after four wheel turns forwards, you need to learn to bunnyhop 180 your bike and coast 4 turns backwards, then repeat, and repeat, and repeat............... 😉

On a fat bike, on snow, then maybe, just maybe all that weight and complexity could be usefull? You'd be pretty pished though when the seal on the rotating hub fails and all the air gets out however!

Also, you're gonna need 800mm wide bars to get all the handlebar furniture on. 2x shifters, 2 x brakes, 1 seat post remote, 1 fork lock out remote, 2x pressure gauges and control knobulators, and just leave a little gap for your bell........

I can see that being useful... Fat bikers would love it. Rigid bike tuneability. And for mixed terrain where Tarmac and then rocks are in a race... That's some rolling resistance advantage.

I remember people poo-pooing suspension forks, disc brakes, remote control shocks... All everyday stuff nowadays.
