[#2916150]

Boardmans ads are getting to me and its only day 4. More than often I miss the remote to mute the annoying intro music(bring on c4 old music anyday, if I close my eyes Im in Formenterra Balerics, late 80s, wearing white 501s and heading to the beach bar...) then further punishment with Boardman sound bites 'its not a race its a state of mind' and the like. So tune in and give me some STW comedy gold please. Best one can have my ST mag collection 1-55(you will have to come and get it though)

Yeah the things like "Sometimes the difference between winning and losing is blah blah blah blah blah.." are annoying me too.

When my team mates had to lift me off my bike at the end, I knew I was absolutely rat-arsed

I agree. However, pity poor Chris Boardman. The text probably looked ok when the fawning ad men gave him the lines, but I bet he's cringing every time he hears it now. Funny how they can get it so wrong sometimes and it just sounds corny, cheesy and naff. Gives Boardmans a bit of a naff image that they don't deserve. Who on earth looked at that ad and thought "Wow, that sounds seriously impressive, let's sign it off". Whoever it is, I bet (s)he has "motivational posters" on his wall. (Although I bet it was a "he" - women are far to sensible to be taken in by all the "yellow - it's not a colour but a state of mind" nonsense)

Sometimes the difference between winning and losing is not jacking it in after the time trials.

Also I wish Sherwin would get adventurous on his route factoids, he reminds me of a boring History teacher. things like crime stats or good bars/ cafes to mix it up.

saw him on the telly on i think itv4, chris if your reading this pack it in, totally dull, all he did is make me reach for the remote and switch to deal or no deal, very boring

on the track he was good very good, in the tour rubbish

bored on my sofa listening to him

Yellow: it's not just a colour, it's my FAVOURITE colour.

Actually, I really like purple. And red. Still, it's a really nice colour.

Yellow, its not just a colour, it's a song that has been massively overplayed.

Be grateful you didn't watch the Tour Series racing, I've been having those ads 4 weeks before Le Tour even started....

I always used to think that racing was about being the best I could be, while my fellow competitors jacked up to 60% haemocrit and no one did f'all about it
