Hi, as you can see I've got some centre locking hubs,(not sure what that means). I have been given some Hope floating disc's that i would like to fit, these are 6 bolt and the same size disc as fitted already 203mm. I've included a photo of an adapter to do this job, or so I think. Could anybody just confirm that i'll be able to do this using the adapter, or have i missed the point all together and do not need an adapter before i order 2. And would it change the position of the disc to caliper? From what i can see from the back there is a face on the hub to fit a disc to, with 6 threads, which the current disc is fitted up to. Hope someone can explain, I'm confused! Thanks

yes that adaptor will work

i wouldbe suprised if you dont need to adjust your caliper after!

i know some manufacturers use slightly different thickness discs so just check that the hopes are ok with your brakes

Thanks Matt, How is it possible to adjust the caliper other than the norm if changing the size of your disc? Can you move them side to side?

Yes, the calliper is mounted on a bracket. Loosen the 2 bolts that attach the bracket to the calliper (Not the ones that attach the bracket to the frame/fork) then hold the brake on tight (squeeze the lever!) and nip the bolts up again. That should do it if you're lucky but you may need to adjust it manually to stop the disc rubbing completely. You'll get the hang of it pretty quickly. ๐Ÿ™‚

The adapter won't work with Hope floating discs, I have the exact same adapters and 203 Floating disc, they didn't fit correctly because of the alloy carrier the Hope disc has.

Ahhh, looking at the hub it looks like you can bolt the disc carrier to it once removed the old one, but how does the center lock nut fit once you have removed the disc? I've been trying to find a assembly drawing to try and explain this.

you already have adaptors holding your discs on from the picture at the top, just change your rotors.
