I’ve mistakenly bought a boost hub equipped hope wheel for my non boost fork….
With the adapters pulled off, the hub itself has loads of “room” in the fork, does anyone know it’s possible to get “shorter” adapters to make it fit? It’s like if the adaptors which push on were a couple of mil shorter it would be fine! The whole thing baffles me!
Alternatively anyone want to swap a boost pro 4 stans ZTR flow ex wheel in good condition for something similar in non boost flavour?

I think you just need the right adaptors - IIRC there are end caps for whatever fork you put the hub inj  ie QR, 15 mm axle or boost.

Depends on exactly which hope hub it is.  anything useful here?

If it is a proper boost hub then no, the hub shell is too long (pro 4 was available with both boost and non-boost hub shell). There is always the chance that its a boost converted pro4 using the official kit. If that was the case then you could fit a normal right hand end cap. If the caps are equal length then its likely a boost shell. If the right hand cap is longer then it may be a converted hub.

Boost hub shell is wider, afraid it won't fit.
Even if you did machine down the end caps, chances are the spokes would hit the fork lowers and the brake wouldn't align.

I'd check whether the brake disc is correctly positioned - you might have to adjust the dish of the wheel to get the disc in the right place

I would think if you could do it you would need to keep the disc side adapter to retain the disc position and 'trim' down the non disc side adapter to fit, but knocking off 10mm is a big ask.

I did something similar with a bulb hub years ago to get 15mm axle to fit. I used pro2 end caps but the hub shells were the same size so different to what you need to do.

I think you'd find the hub flange and or spokes clipping the lowers.

Have you got a photo of the end caps? That should give us an idea if you have a modified non-boost hub with the Hope boost kit, or a boost hub that can't be fitted to a non-boost fork at all.
